Getting Started
Q: What is the Rawlings bat trade-in program?
A: Our baseball and softball bat trade-in program allows you to exchange your gently-used bats for a Rawlings/Easton e-gift card that you can use toward new equipment or credit on a recent online order. It's an affordable way to upgrade your gear while giving your old bat a second life.
Q: What types of bats do you accept?
A: We accept aluminum, composite, wood, and hybrid baseball bats from all major manufacturers. Bats must be complete (no missing end caps or grips) and free of cracks, dents, or structural damage as detailed in the SidelineSwap condition requirements. All bats currently accepted will be listed on the trade-in site with a current trade-in value. If your bat isn’t listed on the site or doesn’t have a trade-in value, we do not currently accept it. Contact SidelineSwap Support if you believe your bat should qualify but isn't listed.
Q: How much is my bat worth?
A: Trade-in values depend on several factors including the bat's age, model, condition, and current market demand on the SidelineSwap marketplace. Begin the trade-in process to see what your bat is currently worth.
Item Conditions & Eligibility
Q: What items can I trade in?
A: We accept baseball and softball bats with resale value on the secondary market that also meet our trade-in condition requirements . All eligible items will display a trade-in value on the trade-in site. Trade-in values are based on current market data from sidelineswap.com and update monthly. Contact SidelineSwap Support if you believe your bat should qualify but isn't listed.
Q: What if my item doesn't meet trade-in condition requirements?
A: We want every trade-in to be successful. However, if our experts find that an item is damaged and doesn't meet the trade-in condition requirements , it has no resale value, and therefore we cannot accept it. In these rare cases, while we can't return the item, we'll ensure it's recycled or donated responsibly.
Q: Am I guaranteed to receive the quoted trade-in value?
A: Our experts carefully inspect each bat upon arrival. In over 98% of cases, customers receive their quoted value. If we notice any discrepancies between the item details provided versus the actual item received (e.g., incorrect year, model, drop, certification, etc.), we will adjust the trade-in value accordingly and communicate any changes with you via email and through the trade-in site.
Payment & Timing
Q: How will I get paid for my Rawlings trade-in?
A: You will be issued a Rawlings/Easton e-gift card via email that can be used anytime. The e-gift card will be processed within 24 hours after the successful receipt and inspection of your trade-ins by SidelineSwap.
Q: How long does the Rawlings trade-in process take?
A: Here's the typical timeline:
Track your trade-in by clicking the link in the email you received upon submitting your trade-in or at fedex.com/tracking using your provided tracking number.
Shipping
Q: Do I need to pay for shipping?

Q: How do I ship my trade-ins?
A: We provide a FedEx Ground shipping label for all trade-ins. Simply print the label after submitting your trade-in through our site. Pack your items securely and drop off at any FedEx location.
Q: Where can I get a box for shipping?
A: You can reuse a box from a recent online order, or purchase one at any FedEx Office location.
Q: How quickly do I need to ship my trade-ins?
A: Trade-in values in your quote are valid for 30 days, so please ship your trades as soon as possible. Allow at least 7 business days for shipping and inspection of your items. Any trades received and inspected after 30 days will receive the updated trade-in value at the time (which may be lower).
Q: How should I pack my bats for shipping?
A: Please be sure to properly protect the bat(s) by wrapping the barrel with paper and/or bubble wrap before putting it in the box.
General
Q: Is there a limit to how many items I can trade in?
A: No limit! Trade in as many baseball bats as you own, as long as they display a current trade-in value on the trade-in site and meet the trade-in condition requirements.
Q: Can I combine multiple trade-ins in one shipment?
A: Yes, you can include multiple trade-in items in a single package using one shipping label. Just be sure each item was properly registered through the trade-in site before shipping, and be sure to properly protect the bats with paper and/or bubble wrap in the box.
Q: Do I need the original receipt for the bats I'm trading in?
A: While you must be the rightful owner of the bats you are trading in, you do not need the original receipt.
Q: Who should I contact with questions about my trade-in?
A: If you have any questions about your trade-in status, please contact SidelineSwap Support here.
Q: Do you accept trades from customers outside the U.S.?
A: Currently the trade-in program is only available to customers living in the U.S.
