Great bat, but wish we wouldn’t sized up.
My kid got a new 2023 Easton Hype a few weeks ago. He has been swinging a Warstick Hawk 2 and a DSB Swag, both 29/19. The Hype swings WAY lighter than those, and quite honestly he doesn’t hit well with the 29/10. It feels like a matchstick. However, the cages we use have demo bats of the 2023 Hype. We sized him up to a 30/-8 and he’s hitting bombs. Would definitely recommend based on the bigger size.
For reference, my kid plays 10u. He’s 4’10” and weighs 100 lbs. He swings hard and has fast hands. If your kid struggles to get the bat around quickly I’d buy his usual size and swing away. If he has fast hands I’d size up.

Fun Bat to Swing
13U Travel player who got the bat about a month ago. Could tell right out of the packaging the bat has an end-loaded swing. In my break-in sessions that definitely proved to be the case. Bat had good pop right out of the package and swung very similar to my 2022 Easton Hype ADV, maybe slightly more end-loaded. Construction has been solid and I'm not seeing dents, scratches or even paint chips in a month in. Love the matte-black finish with the yellow highlights and text. At practice they whole team has tried it out and general consensus is the bat has good pop and feel especially for power-hitters. I also am a big fan of the soft knob on the bat.

If Thor didn't have Mjolnir, he'd have this!
A bat suitable for a God. Apex technology meets honed instinct. Excellent pop off of a large diameter bat with a sweet spot the size of Midgard. Break-in was almost a second thought as it was hotter than Muspelheim right out of the box! Balanced and precise, many fastballs were vanquished, and flew off the bat like they were being escorted to Valhalla by the Valkyries themselves. I daresay this bat was unlikely to have been forged by mere mortals. Conan the Barbarian once sought the answer to the riddle of steel, but we now seek the answer to the Riddle of Composite. Prometheus gave the Greeks fire, Easton gave us the Hype Comp.

HOT from the moment of unwrapping - READ review!
THE HYPE IS REAL! I am a 9-year-old travel ball player and have been swinging this bat for about a month now and WOW! Me and my team cannot get enough. Baseballs are being fired off with every at bat and I have been asked what bat I use after every single game. The weight distribution and large barrel make me a danger at the plate!
My whole family plays baseball. My brother who is 17 years old has been playing for years and My Mom and coaches say this has been the best bat they have seen in a very long time. HOT from the moment we unwrapped it. The look, the sound the all-around experience is FIRE! Cannot go wrong with getting your slugger this bat!

Nice bat
We got our bat at the Elite world series in Orlando Florida. While we were down there a few kids took some swings in a game with it. However once we got home and took one batting practice session we noticed the bat was rattling. We had only take about 75 swings with the bat and they were with game used baseballs. I tried to contact Easton and they told me since I did not have a receipt they would not do anything for me. I understand the bat was given to our team but still the bat has been thrown out of fall tournaments during checks because of the rattle.

Nice bat with great pop
I’ve had them out for about two weeks. It’s a really sweet bat with a good feel. at first it felt pretty heavy because it’s end loaded. Now that I’ve been swinging it more I’ve gotten used to it. It has more pop than my Rawlings Quattro Pro, but the Quattro Pro is probably a little more balanced so it feels slightly less heavy. In regards to how the bat looks, I like the black and yellow color scheme. However, I wish they’d use a little more yellow because the bat seems a little plain. It’s just not as pretty as last year’s navy and red scheme. Overall, a hot bath that I enjoy swinging. I would recommend the 2023 Hype especially if you’re looking for something end loaded.

Great Bat!!!!
I’ve had the 2023 Easton Hype Comp for about a month now and I love it!!! Mine is a 30” drop 8. The end load is great and has helped my average improve, through the weeks and games I’ve been using the Hype Comp I have been hitting .400! The grip is awesome and the tapper at the knob with the knob cushioning makes it very comfortable to swing. The barrel is very forgiving so even on hits where you don’t barrel up the contact, for me, still resulted in hits. And when you do barrel up, the sound is awesome and the pop off the barrel is great! I would HIGHLY recommend the 2023 Easton Hype Comp!!!!
