As a left-handed player, finding a helmet that truly fits her needs has been a challenge, but this helmet’s switchable jaw guard made all the difference. She feels confident and protected, knowing she can customize it to her comfort. The helmet is so comfortable and fits her perfectly—it’s like it was made just for her. I love seeing her play without any hesitation, knowing she’s safe and comfortable. This helmet isn’t just gear; it’s a source of confidence and security that keeps her going strong in every game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This helmet is 🔥 -comfort, style, and protection We got the Easton Z5 2.0 Matte with Jaw Guard for my player and it’s hands down one of the best helmets we’ve used. The fit is super secure without being too tight, and the ventilation is solid — no more overheating or constant adjusting between plays. The jaw guard adds an extra layer of confidence, especially for aggressive hitters. You can switch the guard to either side (clear instructions are on it), and the matte red finish? Clean, bold, and looks elite on the field Definitely worth the price — Easton did their thing with this one. Highly recommend for any serious player who wants real protection and that pro look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s a YES for us! We were SUPER excited to try Easton’s Z5 2.0 Helmet Matte Universal Jaw Guard! As soon as we received this sturdy helmet, it was obvious that it’s high-quality and incredibly protective, which makes Moms happy. It has a heavy feel (not flimsy like some of the others we’ve tried in the past), which makes our boy feel more confident when the ball comes flying towards him. Visually, it’s sleek and looks fantastic with its matte red finish. Also important to note, it’s a comfortable fit that doesn’t poke or irritate the skin. We can’t wait for the next tournament so we can show it off! I’d recommend Easton to all the baseball kids and families out there - great value for great quality.

Okay, so this is technically an adult-size helmet, but look at my kid — it fits him like it was made just for him! 🙌 The padding is comfy, it stays put (no sliding around while he’s swinging for the fences), and I love knowing his head is fully protected. He says it feels “cool and powerful” — which, in kid language, means he actually WANTS to wear it. Win-win! We’ve had zero complaints about comfort, and it’s built solid enough to last him through a lot of backyard “World Series” games. Highly recommend for any mom who wants pro-level protection without the whining.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from C flap in the wrong place. Not very happy with the new universal c flap. It sits way too high and blocks the batters vision. I can’t believe there aren’t more reviews about this. We play LL and travel ball and I coach. Everyone feels the same way…..must be removing bad reviews. Fortunately I was able to find the old style but it’s getting much more difficult….people are buying them up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easton Z5 2.0 Helmet Matte Universal Jaw Guard First I was surprised that I got the color that matches my team. Lol But in reference to the quality, I think it’s very good. This particular one was made for senior players which do not play as hard and as rough as my grandchildren. I compared it to the ones my grandchildren use which is also by Easton and noticed theirs was stronger and had a thicker cushion. My grandchildren use all of Easton’s sports equipment so I tried it. Easton makes excellent gear but they do vary in quality. A senior doesn’t need the same as a youngster and Easton accommodates your budget without compromising your safety. Either way this one is excellent and I did see a few teens using this version and were just as happy as I was using it. I also didn’t feel so confined and stuffy yet I was protected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit, Sharp Look, and Solid Protection Right out of the box, the helmet looks super sleek—the matte red has a clean, bold look that definitely stands out without being too flashy. It feels lightweight but sturdy in your hands, and once it’s on, it sits snug without being uncomfortable. During my first couple of practices wearing it, I noticed how comfortable the padding was. The BioDri liner actually kept sweat from dripping down my face, which is something I usually deal with in other helmets. It’s breathable, and even after a few innings, it didn’t feel overheated or stuffy inside. The fit felt super secure—no sliding around when I was running or swinging. As for the jaw guard, I love that it offers that extra protection, especially since I bat left-handed. It was easy to flip around and install on the correct side.
